Fuel Injection & Dynotuning

Unmatched Fuel Inection Capabilities • Engine Development • Dynojet Dynamometer • Suspension Tuning & Services • Complete Engine & Chassis Service • OEM & After Market Parts & Accessories

We cannot overstate the importance of this part of the process, the final step in any well executed modification. Any competent mechanic can bolt the parts together, but even the best engine builders will not get the best results if the package is not custom tuned. This requires accurately meeting the fuel and ignition requirements for each and every engine. In a nutshell, there is no substitute for custom tuning, and if your bike is modified (anything more than slip-ons in most cases) nothing else will work. There are further discussions on this subject in our Tech Reports, for example, Air/Fuel Ratio Variations in the Ducati 996.

Over the past decade we have developed literally hundreds of maps for Ducatis alone, and hundreds more for Harleys, Moto Guzzis, and Japanese sportbikes. We have done this with as many as nine different systems for interfacing with all these bikes. We simply have more experience, and understand the importance of having all the right tools. We really believe in the need for this service and the tools necessary to accomplish it.

This is why we have spent the time. We have spent the money to acquire all the tools; well ventilated dyno cell where we can control conditions and insure repeatability. All the hardware and software necessary to make the changes from FIM, Dynojet, UltiMap, S & S and others. The ability to clean, flow test, and match injectors.

It would be cheaper and probably more profitable to simply sell chips and not encourage custom tuning, but one map does not fit all, and it would be a disservice.

NO SMOKE, NO MIRRORS, JUST THE FINEST PERFORMANCE TUNING

Tom Manley

Doug has developed some "canned" philosophies over ther years. We will share them with you here because we have found them to contain a great deal of wisdom.

If you want to go exactly as fast as the next guy, do precisely what they are doing.

If you don't check your work, you can assume it's perfect!

  • So many motorcyclists want to focus on the hardware as the source of performance improvements. This is a symptom of the Varmint Effect.

Varmint Theory (Varmints are attracted to shiny objects)

  • Until you really understand the existing systems, all the hardware changes do is throw in more tuning variables.

If you can't tune the stock stuff, how can you tune the race stuff?
